Good Shepherd History

Cathedral of the Cross has a premier reputation for providing educational excellence through Cathedral Christian School.  Established in 1975, CCS has served two generations of our community.  Throughout the 1990's, CCS offered home education services and tutorials through its Home Education Department.  In 2001, the Home Education Department closed when the administrator moved.

Good Shepherd School began in a home in 2001 as Good Shepherd Hall, a sponsor of tutorials in the Classical Christian tradition.

In 2005 Cathedral of the Cross chartered a church school to minister to home educators, it merged with Good Shepherd Hall.  For one year it was affiliated with CCS.  In 2006 the headmaster and church board moved Good Shepherd School under the auspices of the church and changed the name.

In 2008, Good Shepherd School merged its academic services  with Holy Cross Episcopal School; however, all requirements, fees, and so on remain the same.

The leadership of Good Shepherd School is proud to carry on the tradition of excellence!
